I'm feeling you so hard on the hateful Pride-related Instagram comments. My husband and son went to Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival last week (they go every year). I don't go (camping with 100K people for a week? No, thank you.) But I follow Bonnaroo on Instagram. Bonnaroo's whole theme is "Radiate Positivity" and total inclusiveness. But when they posted pictures of their Pride Parade, and of Sofi Tukker talking before their performance about "there would be no Sofi Tukker without the LGBTQ community" the comments blew me away. Please tell me that all (or a lot) of the "unfollow" and puking icon comments are bots. Otherwise, it's just too grim to think that all these hateful bigots really exist. And to shit on the Bonnaroo comment section, no less, where the the posts are so positive.
Ugh, that is such a bummer! I do think that a lot of the comments are bots, and many of the rest are trolls who just search for anything Pride or LGBTQ-themed to shit on. But I also wonder if there's just been a big migration of Facebook people to Instagram, and they're bringing all that nasty negativity with them. But it's definitely depressing to see.
